Documentation - 9th of July
Picture Meetings are professional but informal meetings organised by ICN every three months since 2006. Participants are conservators and conservation scientists from the Netherlands and abroad. Every meeting has a theme. Participants are invited to present their research and questions befitting the theme.
The third meeting of 2009 (9 July) had as theme: 'Documentation'.
The event was 'webcast' on http://webcast.icn.nl. Viewers were able to participate in the discussions by means of a chat facility.
You can watch the video's of (most of the) readings and discussions by clicking on the links below. A selection of the PowerPoint presentations is available on http://webcast.icn.nl.
There are several initiatives in the Netherlands and internationally on documentation of conservation and technical information of works of art. In this meeting a number of the latest developments will be presented. Some exciting initiatives just outside the field of conservation will be presented as well. The day will be concluded with a general discussion on ways forward in documentation of conservation records, technical and art historical information.
